🎣 Virginia Beach Angler Reels In 835-Pound Bluefin Tuna

A Virginia Beach angler may have just shattered the state record after reeling in an 835.8-pound bluefin tuna off the coast this weekend.

Mike Rogerson (23) hooked the massive fish Saturday morning while fishing aboard High Hopes, a charter boat captained by longtime Rudee Inlet captain David Wright. After 90 minutes of pure adrenaline, Rogerson brought in the tuna, which measured 108 inches long.

If certified by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (expected within about a week), the catch will beat the current Virginia record (708 lbs) by more than 130 pounds.

A true Rudee Inlet flex. 💪
