
The Hampton Social to Open at Virginia Beach’s Atlantic Park, the Oceanfront’s New Entertainment District, Stewarded by Pharrell Williams
Chicago-based Parker Hospitality brings its coastal dining concept to Virginia Beach on June 11, debuting as a signature restaurant within one of the East Coast’s most ambitious oceanfront developments.

Parker Hospitality today announced that The Hampton Social will open June 11 at Atlantic Park, the transformative mixed-use development stewarded by Virginia Beach native and global superstar Pharrell Williams. The opening marks The Hampton Social's first Virginia location and its 14th nationwide, positioning the concept within one of the most closely watched development projects in the country.
The restaurant will sit steps from Atlantic Park's signature amenity: North America's first Wavegarden Cove surf lagoon, attracting surfers, spectators, and destination travelers from across the world year-round. The Hampton Social's oceanfront patio will overlook the lagoon, making the restaurant one of the few vantage points in North America where guests can watch world-class surf while dining.

A Signature Restaurant for a Signature Destination
Atlantic Park represents a generational investment in Virginia Beach's oceanfront, bringing together dining, retail, entertainment, surf experiences, and boutique lodging within the ViBe Creative District. The Hampton Social joins a curated roster of concepts selected to define the development's identity.
The Hampton Social’s Virginia Beach location debuts with design elements that reflect the brand's coastal DNA - layered textures, airy interiors, and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, while introducing a refined material palette developed specifically for the Atlantic Park setting. The oceanfront patio is designed to be one of the most photographed dining spaces on the Virginia coast. With seating for 592 guests across its indoor and outdoor spaces, The Hampton Social Virginia Beach will create 60 to 80 local jobs and is one of the largest restaurant openings the market has seen in years.
Later this year, the Virginia Beach location will also debut the first dedicated late-night cocktail lounge in The Hampton Social's history - a separate, more intimate space designed to carry the guest experience deeper into the evening. The lounge marks a deliberate expansion of the brand's hospitality footprint, extending the concept from coastal daytime energy into a refined, after-dinner destination with its own distinct atmosphere and cocktail program.
An Expanded Menu Debuts in Virginia Beach
The Hampton Social Virginia Beach introduces the most significant menu evolution in the brand's history - an expanded format built around the social, shareable dining experience the concept is known for. Seafood takes a central role, with Maine and Manhattan-style Lobster Rolls (MKT), Shrimp Tacos ($27), and a range of shareable plates designed the way guests actually want to eat. Signature items including the Wagyu Smashburger ($23) and the Hampton Social Caesar Salad ($16.75) remain on the menu.
The Virginia Beach opening also marks the debut of The Hampton Social's new Prime steak program - a brand-wide product upgrade that elevates every steak on the menu to USDA Prime, the top grade awarded to less than two percent of American beef. The program reflects a broader investment in premium sourcing across the menu and signals the quality standard guests can expect at every Hampton Social going forward.
The expanded beverage program features a curated selection of 17 specialty hand-crafted cocktails, anchored by the newly launched Essential Martinis collection. Built around rare, small-batch spirits and cold-pressed, all-natural produce, the Essential Martinis - including the Watermelon Tomato Martini and the Basil Cucumber Martini - represent the most carefully sourced cocktails on the menu and deliver an umami-forward experience crafted for guests seeking something more intentional. Signature pours also include the Resort Water with tequila, agave, and mint ($17) and the Sand and Smoke with browned butter bourbon ($17), alongside a curated selection of rosés, wines, local craft beers, and zero-proof offerings.
