Pharrell Launches NEXT WAVE Program
Over the weekend, Pharrell Williams visited his hometown, our beautiful VB, for some exciting events that drew large crowds. Friday during the Virginia × Adidas pop-up at Atlantic Park, a long line wove through the park as locals clamored to see Pharrell Williams’s new Adidas Adistar Jellyfish sneaker drop. We were there when the hard to get sneakers sold out after 2 hours! The shoes sold out, but the line remained as people continued to wait to head inside the VIRGINIA pop up shop filled with branded merch, dj spinning beats, and later an appearance from Pharrell himself.
The following day, Pharrell introduced NEXT WAVE, a year-long program providing free swim and surf lessons for Virginia Beach youth. Students enrolled in Virginia Beach Public Schools, YELLOWHAB, and residents of Atlantis Apartments will have the opportunity to learn water safety and experience aquatic sports at no cost.

After losing their son Miles to a rare congenital heart defect, Chelsea and Paul Lamb founded Miles of Love to support other families walking the same difficult journey. From financial relief to holiday gifts and community events, their mission is simple but powerful — to make the miles ahead a little smoother and filled with love.

Fall in Virginia is made for gathering. Think cocktails on the porch, oysters by the fire, and tables piled high with farm-fresh finds. The trick is keeping it easy and a little playful while still feeling special.
Start with the drinks. This month, Waterman Spirits vodka from Virginia Beach is $8 off, which means it is the perfect time to stock up. Try a Fall Crush with a splash of cranberry, an Apple Cider Crush, or keep it classic with a Cosmo. Pitcher cocktails and a self-serve setup make you look like a pro without the stress.
For food, keep it local. Oysters (raw or roasted), Cullipher apples, roasted veggies, and a few fun snacks like spiced peanuts and goat cheese crostini. Add candles, string lights, and a great playlist and you are set.
Send friends home with something thoughtful, like apples in a bag or a mini bottle of Watermans. That is how we do it here.

Ingredients
3 oz Perfect Crush
3 oz apple cider
Juice from half a lemon
Ginger beer or ginger ale, to top
Dash of ground cinnamon
Apple slice, for garnish
Instructions
Fill a rocks glass with ice.
Add Perfect Crush, apple cider, and fresh lemon juice.
Top with ginger beer (or ginger ale for a sweeter twist).
Carefully flip into a second glass and back again to mix.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and garnish with an apple slice.
Serve immediately and enjoy the crisp bite of fall.
