Atlantic Park to Host Inaugural Surf Art Market

More than two dozen local and regional artists will be exhibiting their works during this free event

Virginia Beach, Va. – (June 16, 2026)
Atlantic Park will host its first Surf Art Market on Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing together more than 20 surf artists from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and the Outer Banks in a vibrant outdoor celebration of surf culture, art and community.

“The Surf Art Market reflects our commitment to art and community, two foundational pillars of Atlantic Park,” said Tracy Derring, Director of Events at Atlantic Park. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Jodie Woodward, the founder of the long-running Virginia Beach Surf Art Expo, whose deep communityroots and passion to elevate local art have helped bring together surf culture and creative expression in a vibrant gathering for all.”
Produced in partnership with the Virginia Beach Surf Art Expo, Atlantic Park’s Surf Art Market will take place at 19th Street and Arctic Avenue in Virginia Beach’s ViBe Creative District. Exhibitors will be set up along the green space adjacent to The Dome by Rutter Mills. Free and open to the public, the family-friendly event will feature music by Disco Dunes, coffee and other refreshments from The Sweet Spot and tasty snacks from Heavenly Kettle Corn and Mama B’s Gourmet Pecans.

Featured artists* include artist and surf photographer Ed Obermeyer, painter and fine artist Reba Arts, artist Rick Ricketts, and East Coast Surfing Hall of Famer Noah Snyder, now a full-time artist for whom the Atlantic Park Surf Art Market will mark his art debut in Virginia Beach.

“I’m super excited to be a part of this event. I grew up surfing a lot of the VB surf contests, so this feels full circle in some ways,” Snyder said. “I’m stoked to share my love of surfing through the arts.”

Since unveiling North America’s first Wavegarden Cove surf lagoon last August, Atlantic Park has cemented itself as a transformative epicenter for surfing, dining, shopping and entertainment in the heart of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Within the first-of-its-kind development, guests will find a variety of thoughtfully curated offerings, including: Faherty, The Grill, The Hampton Social, Johnnie-O, Lululemon, Milk & Honey,
Mi Vida, Nami Nori, Only at Renee’s, Playa Bowls, Quiet Storm Surf Shop, Sandbox VR, The Sweet Spot, Wave Riding Vehicles and Wiseguy Pizza.
