
Atlantic Park Launches “Surf & Sip” Program
The newly launched initiative creates a fluid experience for guests and retailers alike

Atlantic Park has announced its “Surf & Sip” program, which allows guests to enjoy alcoholic beverages throughout the first-of-its-kind development, home to North America’s first Wavegarden Cove surf lagoon.
As the first development in the region to secure a Virginia ABC commercial lifestyle center license, Atlantic Park aims to drive foot traffic and enhance walkability, creating a more fluid, engaging experience for guests and retailers alike.
“The ‘Surf & Sip’ program transforms a standard restaurant visit into a vibrant, walkable experience where every corner of Atlantic Park feels connected and cohesive,” said Grant Wiggins, Project & Development Manager at Venture Realty Group, developer of Atlantic Park. “We wanted to eliminate the invisible walls between dining, shopping and entertainment, allowing guests to grab a favorite drink and seamlessly explore Atlantic Park.”
Participating Atlantic Park restaurants will serve alcoholic beverages in designated cups. Beverages may be enjoyed throughout the development, including on the lawn space at The Dome by Rutter Mills (on non-performance days), on sidewalks and in participating retailers.
The program’s boundaries are identified by signage and green curb painting. Hours vary daily and seasonally and are subject to change. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in parking garages or public restrooms, and alcoholic beverages from outside of Atlantic Park are not permitted. A Growing Destination for Coastal Culture
Since unveiling Atlantic Park Surf last August, Atlantic Park has cemented itself as a transformative epicenter for surfing, dining, shopping and entertainment in the heart of the Virginia Beach oceanfront, welcoming thousands of visitors from around the world–representing all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries.
Atlantic Park’s more than 100,000 sq. ft. of retail space has been thoughtfully curated to include a mix of local, regional and national brands aligned with community, surfing, wellness and culture. A majority of the leasing space has been strategically dedicated to new-to-market concepts that enrich the Atlantic Park and Virginia Beach experience for both locals and visitors. Current Atlantic Park tenants include: Faherty, The Grill, The Hampton Social, Johnnie-O, Lululemon, Milk & Honey, Mi Vida, Nami Nori, Only at Renee’s, Playa Bowls, Quiet Storm Surf Shop, Sandbox VR, The Sweet Spot, Wave Riding Vehicles and Wiseguy Pizza, with more in the pipeline.

In March, Atlantic Park also opened The Sitio. The boutique 20-room hotel blends contemporary design, surf culture, art, music and curated year-round programming just footsteps from the Atlantic Park surf lagoon and one block from the Atlantic Ocean.
