IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good Morning Virginia Beach!
As we head into the final days of May, we’re reflecting on something that’s become impossible to ignore in our city right now: the incredible momentum behind women-owned businesses across VB. Over the last few months, we’ve watched more women launching businesses, collaborating, supporting one another, and building brands that are helping shape the culture and community of Virginia Beach. This week, we’re excited to officially introduce a new project VB Living has been building to help spotlight, connect, and celebrate the women behind it all, along with a few other local happenings around town.
Let’s get into it!

THE WEEKLY SCOOP
The Women’s Collective by VB Living
There’s something special happening among women-owned businesses in Virginia Beach right now. More women are building brands, launching businesses, supporting one another, collaborating, and creating real impact within our local community, and we wanted to create something that celebrates and highlights that momentum.
Introducing: The Women's Collective: A Digital Guide Featuring Local Women Entrepreneurs
The Women’s Collective is VB Living’s new digital guide featuring a curated group of women-owned businesses across Virginia Beach. Inside, you’ll discover local entrepreneurs in industries ranging from wellness and beauty to real estate, fitness, events, retail, and more, all connected by a shared commitment to growth, community, and supporting others along the way.
The Women's Collective is a curated resource designed to introduce you to some of the remarkable women-owned businesses across Virginia Beach. Because when you support a woman-owned business, the impact goes further than the transaction. Studies consistently show that women reinvest a higher percentage of their earnings back into their families and communities. They mentor their staff, collaborate with fellow business owners, donate to local causes, and create opportunities for others.
And this is just the beginning — VB Living will soon be launching an online directory where even more women-owned businesses can be discovered, supported, and celebrated.
We hope this guide not only introduces you to incredible local businesses, but also inspires more connection, collaboration, and support among women entrepreneurs throughout Virginia Beach. Our vision for The Women’s Collective extends far beyond this guide, with future events, features, collaborations, and new opportunities already in the works.
If you’re a woman-owned business interested in being part of future VB Living campaigns, features, networking experiences, or the upcoming online directory, we’d love to connect with you and continue growing this community together. For updates and to learn more about the Women-Owned Business Directory, please submit your information and we’ll be in touch.

The ViBe District Is Turning Into A Giant Outdoor Art Gallery
The VB Street Art Festival is returning to the ViBe Creative District for its third year, bringing another weekend filled with live art, creativity, and local energy to 18th and 19th Streets. During the three-day festival, 15 artists will transform 15 large-scale sculptures live throughout the district, giving each piece an entirely new look in real time.
The festival’s 1.5-mile route was designed to be fully walkable, allowing visitors to explore the district, meet the artists while they work, and experience the creative process up close. This year’s featured artists were selected from 75 applicants representing 3 countries, 16 states, and cities across Virginia.
While exploring the festival, visitors are also encouraged to stop into the ViBe District’s local restaurants, coffee shops, and bars along the route. The event is free and open to the public.

Local Community Invited To Gather At 5/31 Memorial
Virginia Beach city leaders and community members are preparing to gather Sunday at the 5/31 Memorial as the long-awaited project nears completion. The memorial honors the 12 lives lost in the 2019 Virginia Beach Municipal Center tragedy and has remained an important symbol of healing, remembrance, and resilience for many local families and residents. Officials shared updates on the project’s progress and what visitors can expect as the memorial moves closer to opening. The gathering will give the community an opportunity to reflect, honor those impacted, and see how the space is coming together ahead of its final completion.

Virginia Beach Ranked The Best Place For Veterans To Live In The U.S.
Virginia Beach just earned another major national recognition. Veterans United Home Loans ranked the Virginia Beach-Chesapeake-Norfolk metro area the #1 place for veterans and military families to live in 2026. The study evaluated major metro areas across the country based on affordability, quality of life, healthcare access, veteran support systems, and employment opportunities. Researchers highlighted Hampton Roads’ deep military roots, strong veteran community, access to VA care, and coastal lifestyle as key reasons the region landed at the top of the list. With one of the country’s largest military populations and major installations like Naval Station Norfolk nearby, the ranking reflects just how connected military life is to the fabric of our local community.

TOGETHER WITH CLOTHES MENTOR

Your wardrobe deserves an upgrade — without the full-price guilt.
Most of us wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. The rest just hangs there, taking up space and reminding you of things that no longer fit your life (or your body).
At Clothes Mentor Virginia Beach, you'll find gently worn, like-new pieces from brands like Lululemon, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and more — all up to 70% off retail. Every item is hand-selected to be on-trend or classically timeless, so you're never digging through a rack of rejects.

✨ FEATURED EVENT ✨
Our next VB Living Dinner Club is already taking off. We’re not even into June yet and three tables are already full for the next event.
This month, we hand-picked an entirely new lineup of Virginia Beach restaurants that haven’t been part of the rotation yet, so even returning members will experience something new.
Here’s how it works:
• 🍽️ We reserve tables at curated local restaurants around Virginia Beach
• 👥 Small groups are matched together for dinner based on responses to our quiz
• 🥂 Meet new people in a relaxed, fun, and social setting
• 📍 Discover new restaurants you may not have tried otherwise
Spots are already filling quickly. Future dinner dates are now live on the site if you want to plan ahead for upcoming summer dinners.
