IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Good Morning Virginia Beach!

Memorial Day weekend is finally here, which means beach chairs are coming out, grills are getting fired up, boats are heading to the water, and the Oceanfront is about to be buzzing. Now we just need the weather to fully cooperate. β˜€οΈπŸ€ž

Take our poll and let us know how you like to celebrate this weekend!

THE WEEKLY SCOOP

A Celebration of the AANHPI Community
Bridges of Gold: Power in Unity

May is recognized as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time dedicated to honoring the cultures, traditions, achievements, and contributions of AANHPI communities across the country. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate the stories, resilience, entrepreneurship, and cultural impact that continue to shape communities locally and beyond.

This week, we had the honor of attending Bridges of Gold: Power in Unity, a beautiful evening created to celebrate and uplift the local AANHPI community through connection, collaboration, and shared experiences.

Hosted at The Beaumont in Norfolk, the event brought together an inspiring mix of creatives, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders for a night centered around culture, unity, and empowerment. From networking and meaningful conversations to music, refreshments, guest speakers, and raffles, the atmosphere felt both elevated and deeply personal.

One of the most special parts of the evening was seeing so many women-owned businesses and powerhouse women gathered in one room, sharing stories, supporting one another, and celebrating heritage together. Guests laughed, danced, connected, created custom fragrances, and embraced the spirit of community that made the night feel so memorable.

A big thank you to Sarah Rillon for hosting such a meaningful event. There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who are proud of where they come from while also creating space to inspire and uplift others. Events like this are an important reminder that representation, visibility, and community matter and that celebrating culture creates stronger connections for everyone.

Atlantic Park Living Is Bringing a Whole New Lifestyle to Virginia Beach

A first-of-its-kind residential experience is officially making waves at Atlantic Park. Atlantic Park Living is being called the first surf-anchored multifamily community in North America, blending luxury coastal living with entertainment, dining, wellness, and surf culture all in one destination.

Located just two blocks from the oceanfront and connected directly to Atlantic Park’s Wavegarden Cove surf lagoon, the community is designed around the idea of living where lifestyle and experience come together.

LOCAL FLAVOR

Taste the Rainbow…Ice Cream

Courtesy of Gelati Celesti

Gelati Celesti’s Rainbow Cookie Ice Cream was recently named one of America’s essential ice cream flavors by Food & Wine, putting the Richmond-born scoop alongside some of the country’s most iconic ice cream creations.

Made with Ukrop’s famous rainbow cookies, the flavor has built a loyal following over the years and is available at all 11 Gelati Celesti locations.

Pretty sweet recognition for a flavor that started right here in Virginia.
