IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
Good Morning Virginia Beach!
There’s a lot happening across VB right now, and some of it is getting attention far beyond our area. At the same time, there are a few things happening locally that you might actually want to take advantage of, plus one unexpected find that caught our attention heading into Easter weekend.
In this week’s newsletter, we’re sharing:
• A national spotlight highlighting Virginia Beach
• A local perk available at the Oceanfront
• A new store opening we stopped in to see
• An Easter event that’s a little different this year
• And a roundup of events happening around town
Let’s get into it!

THE WEEKLY SCOOP
VB’s Best Local Spots Are Stealing the Spotlight
Virginia Beach is in the national spotlight, and this time, it is our local businesses and experiences leading the story.
A newly published travel feature highlights everything that makes our city unique, from locally loved restaurants and boutique hotels to creative spaces, outdoor experiences, and the small businesses that give Virginia Beach its personality. The guide weaves together a full itinerary that feels less like a typical tourist list and more like how locals actually experience the city.
From the ViBe Creative District’s growing collection of murals, galleries, and shops to standout dining spots and waterfront experiences, the article reinforces what we see every day. The strength of Virginia Beach is in its people, its entrepreneurs, and the businesses that continue to elevate the local experience.
For locals, it is a reminder that the momentum we are seeing locally is being recognized on a much larger stage, reinforcing Virginia Beach as a destination that continues to evolve while staying rooted in its coastal identity.
It also doubles as a ready-made staycation plan, offering a fresh way to explore your own city through a curated lens of some of the best places to eat, stay, and experience right now.
A Brand That Feels Right at Home in Virginia Beach

We stopped into Faherty’s newest store at Atlantic Park this week, and it’s one of those places that immediately makes sense the second you walk in.
Founded by twin brothers Mike and Alex Faherty, lifelong surfers who grew up at the beach, the brand was built around that same easy, coastal lifestyle that defines so much of Virginia Beach. You can feel that influence in everything. The clothing, the materials, even the way the store is designed.
There’s also a deeper layer to the brand that stood out. Faherty is a certified B Corporation, meaning they’ve committed to higher standards when it comes to sustainability, ethical practices, and how they operate as a business. It’s not something they lead with loudly, but it’s built into how they do things.
If you’re heading to Atlantic Park, this is worth stopping into.
