Last week, VB Living hosted a special evening to celebrate something we believe deeply in…women-owned businesses that are not only growing, but actively giving back and shaping our Virginia Beach community.

This wasn’t a networking event, it was a celebration. The room was full of women who are leaders, connectors, and builders who show up, support each other, and are creating real impact locally.

The goal was to bring together like-minded entrepreneurs in an elevated, fun setting where real connections could happen. And that’s exactly what we saw. Conversations flowed, collaborations sparked, and new relationships were formed that will go far beyond one night.

The women at the event are business owners who are invested in their growth, their brand, and their community. And that energy is exactly what made the night so special.

This is just the beginning of what we’re building. More connection, more collaboration, and more opportunities to spotlight the incredible people behind the businesses in Virginia Beach.

Looking for a way to give back this weekend? The Great American Cleanup is kicking off across Hampton Roads, bringing thousands of volunteers together to make a real impact in our local community.

From neighborhoods and parks to roadways and waterways, cleanup efforts will be happening all over as volunteers work to remove litter, plant greenery, and beautify the spaces we all enjoy.

Since 2012, more than 327 tons of litter have been cleared right here at home… and this is your chance to be part of what’s next.

One of Virginia Beach’s most iconic holiday events is about to look very different this year.

After more than 30 years on the Oceanfront, the Holiday Lights at the Beach display is expected to move and the experience itself is getting a full transformation.

Instead of driving along the Boardwalk, visitors may soon be walking through the lights in a completely new setting. The shift comes as the city looks to protect the Boardwalk’s structure while reimagining the event in a way that could bring an entirely new feel to the season.

There’s also more being added beyond just the lights…think new holiday events, expanded experiences, and a fresh take on how locals and visitors celebrate the season in VB.

What started as one community magazine has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Today, VB Living has evolved into a local media brand connecting tens of thousands of Virginia Beach locals through our magazines, weekly newsletter, dinner clubs, and social platforms.

Along the way, we’ve had the chance to share so many incredible stories. From positive local news and new business openings to community events, local entrepreneurs, and even helping to form new friendships through our Dinner Club, this has always been about celebrating what makes Virginia Beach special.
