The Cherry Blossom Festival is back, and for one week Red Wing Park turns into one of the most beautiful spots in Virginia Beach with 150 cherry trees in bloom.

Here’s how to experience it next week, so start planning:

This is the one that feels special.

For the first time, you can walk through the cherry blossoms at night, with the trees illuminated for a completely different kind of experience. It’s quiet, it’s beautiful, and honestly one of those “this doesn’t even feel like Virginia Beach” moments.

Grab something to eat, take your time walking under the glowing trees, and don’t forget your camera. This is easily one of the most unique photo ops of the week.

If you’re looking for more of a lively festival feel, this is your window.

The park fills with cultural performances, martial arts demonstrations, and vendors selling everything from artwork to themed goods. There’s something to walk through, watch, and try at every turn, which makes it easy to stay longer than you planned.

It’s also the best time to go with friends or family if you want a mix of things to do instead of just walking the park.

Before the doors officially opened this week, we were invited to step inside The Sitio, the brand new boutique hotel at Atlantic Park, for a private preview with the team who brought the project to life.

The moment we walked in, it felt different from anything else in Virginia Beach. With only 20 rooms, the hotel was designed to feel intimate and intentional. We listened to the story behind the design while taking in the details up close.

Even the music is curated. The Sitio’s playlists were developed in collaboration with Pharrell’s team, giving guests a rotating soundtrack of emerging artists that connects the hotel to the creative energy of the Vibe District.
